Very interesting, It took me months to figure out what was the missing ingredient in German made Mexican food, turned out it was mostly kreuzkümmel (and a pinch of cilantro).
Kreuzkümmel and Kümmel look the same, but quickly learned one makes my homemade chilli and salsa taste like Mexican food and the other makes my Mexican food taste like German bread.
